In 2002, Kathy Sparkman left the corporate world of financial services and began Spark Designs.  In 2004, she created The Spark Foundation and began to combine her love of jewelry design with her philanthropic interests.  She offers private trunk shows at homes of women who have similar interests and donates a percentage of sales to the charity of the hostess’ choice.  She has gained a following in Seattle, Los Angeles, Houston, Boston, and Columbia and Pawleys Island, SC.

Kathy’s designs are stand-out pieces created for women who want to express their individuality in what they wear.  Where you find Spark Designs, you'll find large and small pieces in a variety of stones and beads, primarily set in sterling silver.  (And just a note, silver and gold coordinate beautifully, so don't be afraid to mix.) Many pieces are designed to be worn several different ways, adding the maximum in flexibility.  Most pieces are one-of-a-kind or vintage, and you can even have a special necklace or bracelet custom designed for a specific outfit.  Kathy specializes in re-designing those old, hand-me-down pieces that may have sentimental value but not much fashion value.
